Columbia Memorial Hospital needed an updated map of their museum to hand out to visitors, so they contacted me to help.
How it was done:
I needed to use some old architectural plans and walk the museum to field verify the existing conditions. Then I redrew the plan in AutoCAD and imported the linework into Photoshop. I added an aged paper texture to the background and added some other effects to make the plan seem somewhat like an old pirate treasure map, without getting too hokey with it. The client loves it and hands it out to their visitors.
